Nigeria and it’s fleeting Space program

Oh well! We engineers and tech people knew that this was not done right. What I mean is that the most populous; oil-rich nation but ‘economic basket case’ could not or would not maintain the NigComSat-1 satellite launched by them into orbit around the Earth eighteen months ago.
They are shutting the power down to prevent it from spinning out of control and damaging other properties in the Space area. Let’s be real! Nigeria is NOT China; India; Brazil or even Mexico!
*** UPDATE - **** UPDATE!
It has now been confirmed that the disintegrating N29.95 billion ($256 million USD) NigComSat-1 flown into orbit about a year ago by China Great Wall Industry Incorporation (CGWIC) is irreparably damaged and has been safely de-orbited to its eternal resting place in the heavens.
