I grew up in the USA on Japanese Anime; Star Trek and its (bites); Star Wars (and its bites also). Many things have come into close reality such as the ‘VideoPhone’. That’s just VOIP with a webcam. Personal communicators. iPhone? Not exactly Trek-like. Still no laser blasters; Tri-corders; molecular transporters; Light Sabres; dog-fighting spaceships; flying cars and hanging out with the current immigrant from a nearby star system!
