Off To Sekondi!

I called my main men Zacko & Nana Fredua Junior to bust a move in the BMW to Sekondi. Although I had Press accreditation; my two friends did not. we had to secure tickets for the matches. Nigeria Vs.Côte D’Ivoire will be a hot game to observe! Since we were late in grabbing the tickets in Accra; we had to pay some scalpers GH¢40 Ghana Cedis (~$41 USD) each ticket! Although the face value was only GH¢15. Maaan! I should have purchased many tickets in advance of making a small profit! It took us 3 hours to get to the newly-constructed stadium in Essipong (an area in Sekondi) by highway. What an amazing site! Even more amazing were the rows and rows of buses filled with supporters from the neighboring ECOWAS countries of La Côte D’Ivoire; Nigeria; Mali and Benin. I’m sure The Shama-Sekondi-Takoradi area has never seen this much ‘foreign’ presence in the area…ever!
